This Department was established since inception ie: 2000 with an intake of 60. The first batch turned out in 2004 was of high profile academic achievers. The Department has thus produced a higher number of distinction and much more first class holders. Majority of the students have already been placed in National and International Companies.
Objective
Realizing the importance of multinational companies eyeing India as the bastion for software production, the Department’s objective is to train the students in both theory and practice on one side and in software, hardware development on the other side, so that they become competent software and hardware professional. In this way the Department aims to produce them to become employable on their own skills.
Computing Center
The centralized Computer Centre has been fully air conditioned. At a time 250 students can work individually. The system configuration is mostly Pentium IV and Dual Core. Software and packages as per norms of AICTE and Anna University are loaded. Hardware peripheral facilities are available in plenty. As of now, Sify has supplied leased line Internet facility and is made available a separate Internet Lab. Besides, action has been taken to go for Broad Band Internet Connection.

Electrical Engineering course is one of the core courses in engineering discipline. This course is the important course for all applications in Engineering. There is a great demand for this course among the students in this region and the surrounding. The students’ intake up to now is 30. Considering the demand among the rural students, the AICTE has approved an increases intake to 60 from the existing 30. The Department has all the facilities in teaching and learning process and as well demonstrative facilities through various laboratories. The Department serves the needs of co-departments like ECE and CSE.
Objective
As the students' desire to pursue this course is very high, the Department’s objective is to take care of the academic interests of students in a perfect teaching learning segment. Further, the students are to be trained to have a sound competency in theory and practice together in this discipline.

The field of information technology places itself in a very important position in the world Communication arena. The IT Department was established in 2000 with an intake of 60. The students’ academic performance is very excellent at the University examinations as they got more number of distinctions and more first classes. This has put them in an advantageous position in getting placements at reputed organizations.
Objective
The essential objective of the Department is to make the future IT professional and equip them competently in the highly competed IT professional world. To this orientation the Department takes every effort to train them so that their independent skills would get enhanced in developing software and hardware application.

Objective

Objective
