Youth Red Cross
- The Youth Red Cross using of Sri Krishna Engineering College has involved in creating awareness among the young students and giving them training in facing critical and emergency situation.
- The YRC wing organizes annual Blood donation camps and Eye camps in the college Premises. To train the Volunteers training workshops on First Aid and Trauma handling was conducted periodically.
- A blood Donation camp was organized in the last year in association with government hospital, chengelpet. The chief medical officer presided over the camp with a team of 4 doctors and 7 nurses. About 125 units of blood had been collected from 150 student volunteers. The students with the awareness of importance of blood eagerly participated in the camp and donated the blood.
- The annual Eye camp helps in diagnosing sighting deficiencies among the students, especially from lower strata of society. The camp also offers the opportunity for the villages to check the eye deficiencies.
- The YRC Volunteers has been trained for giving proper first Aid for the Casualties. Also trauma due to accident is also taken care.
- The YRC wing operates with a faculty coordinator, student coordinator and more than 60 volunteers from all the four years and departments of the college.
